On the morning of October 4th, a reticulated python showed up in the classroom of a kindergarten in Thailand’s Songkhla Province, causing panic among the students who ran for their lives. The baby python was found curled around an air vent in a classroom at Kuanlang Primary School.
After the room was evacuated, a rescue team ventured in to capture the snake. It was about 50 centimeters long and had probably just hatched from the egg. After the reptile was safely retrieved, the rescuers searched the classroom for more snakes as they feared that some might be still hidden but none were found.
Adult pythons are the largest snakes native to Asia. Like all pythons, they are non venomous constrictors and normally not considered dangerous to humans.
