On Thursday the Bangkok Governor took a boat ride to survey the Chaophraya River. He asked communities along the riverbanks to monitor water levels closely because they are predicted to rise by over a meter next week. The Thai Irrigation Department warned that more water may be released from reservoirs in the North to reduce flooding there.
