On November 11th, a rescue crew responded to a report of a car plunging from the 4th floor car park of a condominium in the Klongtoey district of Bangkok. A sixty two year old retired soldier, Anukoon Wannasuk, was found alive in the vehicle suffering black eyes and numerous bruises. He was rushed to a local hospital. CCTV shows the car reversing then lurching forward through the barrier and falling, nose first, from the building. An investigation revealed that the iron bars holding the barrier were too thin to restrain the car. The building is over 30 years old and is, therefore, not subject current mandatory building regulations.
