A video, acquired by a reporter in Thailand’s Tak province, shows the interesting…and dangerous ways people in Mandalay catch their train. Some of them haven’t even bought a ticket. These locals get their belongings ready, wait near the track and, as the train moves past, they risk life and limb to get onboard. There will be another ‘assistant’ waiting on the train to pull them up. Such scenes are quite normal for the locals here, as there are not many trains that pass through this area. The cost of hiring the ‘assistants’ is around 25 baht a time.
