A clip from Thai media shows the aftermath of a car falling into a 3 meter deep sink hole which appeared in a Thai highway due to erosion caused by heavy rainfall. The thirty seven year old driver, Burachat Chanprasert, was driving to Pattani on the dark and slippery road. By the time he saw the gap, it was already too late to stop the car. Fortunately he survived without serious injury. Flooding in 8 of Thailand’s southern provinces is still serious and the border towns of Naratiwat and Pattani have been declared disaster zones .
